  1. A floating solar power plant is going to be built in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa. Said to be the world’s largest floating solar plant, it will generate 600 Megawatt power by 2022-23.
  2. Ministry of Culture has released the third comic book on stories on 20 Tribal Freedom Fighters.
  3. India and the US will conduct a fortnight-long mega military exercise in Uttarakhand’s Auli in October 2022.
  4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur in Gujarat, in August 2022.
  5. With 10 new wetlands added to the list in August 2022, India have 64 wetlands designated as Ramsar Sites covering an area of 12,50,361 hectares in the country.

  11. Deepak Punia won his first gold at Commonwealth Games 2022 by defeating two times Commonwealth Games gold medallist Pakistani wrestler Muhammad Inam.
  12. Sakshi Malik won the gold medal in women’s 62kg freestyle wrestling by defeating Canadian wrestler Ana Godinez Gonzales.
  13. Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia bags India’s 7th gold medal in Commonwealth Games 2022 by defeating Canada’s Lachlan McNeil in men’s 65kg category Wrestling in the finals.
  14. Justice Uday U Lalit is set to take over as the 49th Chief Justice of India (CJI) on August 27, 2022 with the incumbent, NV Ramana recommending the former as his successor.
